Dr. Andreas Appelt is a German-trained Consultant Orthopedic and Trauma Surgeon with more than 30 years of international experience in advanced orthopedic, trauma, sports injury, and joint replacement surgery. Throughout his career, he has managed a broad spectrum of complex orthopedic conditions with a strong focus on hip and knee arthroplasty, trauma surgery, sports orthopedics, and minimally invasive orthopedic procedures.

Dr. Appelt is highly experienced in primary and complex hip and knee replacement surgeries, arthroscopic procedures, fracture and trauma management, as well as operative orthopedic support for complex cases across multiple orthopedic subspecialties. As a senior orthopedic consultant at Al Zahra Hospital Dubai, he plays an important role in supporting operative management and collaborative orthopedic care within the department.

Prior to joining Al Zahra Hospital Dubai, Dr. Appelt worked for more than five years at the University Clinic in Heidelberg, Germany, before establishing and managing his own orthopedic clinics in Neu-Ulm and Weißenhorn, Germany. He also practiced in Germany, Ghana, and the United Arab Emirates.

Dr. Appelt completed specialization training in orthopedics, trauma surgery, sports medicine, and chiropractic therapy, and served as a teacher and consultant orthopedic surgeon at the University Clinic in Heidelberg.
